Why get permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup is a LONG LASTING enhancement that:

  • Allows for more time in the morning

  • Won’t smudge or rub off

  • Offers a solution to those prone to allergies from cosmetics

  • Provides an advantage for those who have an unsteady hand, arthritis, or dexterity issues

  • Enables those with poor vision to have impeccable makeup

So go for a dip in the spa pool, dance your butt off, work out and be spontaneous while looking fresh, balanced, and the best version of yourself without having to go home and freshen up. Don’t forget to book your refresher appointment 12- 18 months for a lower rate.

What's an appointment with Suz like?

Permanent Makeup

  1. Thorough consult- discuss lifestyle, desires and all options, colors, process, after care and healing (approx 15-30 min)

  2. Pre draw- precisely measure, perfect shape, cross check and only when you're satisfied will we start (approx 30 min-1 hour)

  3. Apply topical anesthetic (lidocaine/ epinephrine)- for comfort during procedure 

    • eyeliner - 30 min *with EYES CLOSED

    • brows- 10 min

    • lips- 30 min 

  4. Begin tattooing and reapply topical anesthetic throughout maintaining comfort levels (approx 1.5-2.5 hours)

  5. The reveal!- and an opportunity to make slight adjustments

  6. Discuss after care- varying directions dependent on which treatment received

  7. Book 2 week check up + complimentary blow out + healed photo

  8. Book 2nd appointment (touch up/ refining session) for 4-8 weeks later

    • For most, that's a wrap and a 12 or 18 month touch up is planned at a lower rate.

    • Depending on skin, health, and aftercare, a 3rd session may be helpful in securing pigment and holding shape.

Read this first !!!

 Permanent Makeup is not recommended for those who are or have (consult with your physician):

  • Pregnant or nursing

  • Diabetic

  • Chemotherapy

  • Viral Infections and/ or diseases

  • Epilepsy

  • Pacemaker or major heart problems

  • Organ Transplant

  • Skin irritations near the procedure area (rash, sunburn, acne, etc)

  • Sick (migraine, cold, flu, etc)

Before & after care

  • ALL PROCEDURES

    • DO NOT take/consume alcohol, caffeine, asprin, Niacin, vitamin E, fish oil, or IBU proven 24 hours before appointment.

      • These affect your blood by thinning it. This can affect the pigment retention.

    • DO NOT tan or have a sunburnt face.

    • DO NOT work out the day of-- NO EXCESSIVE SWEATING the day of.

    • DO YES DO! Drink plenty of water (2L minimum/day). 

  • Eyebrows: 

    • DO NOT get botox in the 2 weeks prior/after appointment.

    • DO NOT tweeze/ wax/ tint your eyebrows for at least 48 hours before appointment.

    • DO NOT get electrolysis 5 days prior to appointment.

    • DO NOT use any method of hair removal 2 weeks prior/after to appointment..

  • Eyeliner: 

    • DO NOT use Revitalash or any lash growth serums for 2 weeks prior.

    • DO NOT tint, curl, or apply eyelash extensions 48 hours before appointment.

    • DO NOT wear contact lenses during or immediately after procedure. Remember to bring your glasses. You may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pre-procedure condition.

  • ​Lips:
    • DO NOT get botox or fillers in the 2 weeks prior/after appointment.

    • DO YES DO! Moisturize lips constantly with Paw Paw or Bepanthem Original for 3 days before appointment.

    • Ever had a cold sore? (even only once before?) you MUST take cold sore treatment: 2 days before- 2 doses, 1 days before- 2 doses, day of- 1 dose in am.

After Care

  • For 3-4 hours post procedure, clean affected area thoroughly with sterile water and cotton gauzes. (Every hour, for ALL PROCEDURES)

  • DO NOT apply water, cleansers, creams, makeup or any other products on treated area for 10 days (Unless technician states otherwise).

  • DO NOT rub, pick or scratch treated area. Allow scabs to form and heal naturally. Picking can cause scarring and loss of pigment.

  • DO NOT expose healing skin to direct sunlight, tanning beds, hot tubs, saunas, salt water, chlorinated pools for 3-4 weeks following your procedure.

  • DO NOT do any facials, Botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion 4 weeks post procedure.

  • DO NOT tint, curl, or apply eyelash extensions or Revitalash/lash growth serums for 2 weeks after procedure (*Eyeliner only).

Long Term Care

  • Begin using a good sunscreen 10 days after procedure and onwards, as UV rays & sun fade Permanent Cosmetic Makeup.

  • If you are planning a chemical peel, laser procedure or MRI scan, please inform the technician you have had permanent makeup!!!

  • The use of Retin-A/ Tretinoin, chemical peels, acid peels or any other rapid skin exfoliation products used on the forehead area will cause the permanent makeup of the eyebrow to fade prematurely.
